You need a reflector and a studio camera.
Pay attention to your background when you take these.
The Sun should be at a 45 degree angle from your subject(key light), and your reflector should be at a 45 degree angle from the other side(fill light).

You need to take one of your photos, desaturate it, and then recolor it in Photoshop using new layers in color mode.

Go->Connect to server->address=10.13.224.32->click on guest then connect, choose dropbox in the window and place your best photo in the proper hour.
We will do the show at the end of the hour.

Selective Color
Selective color is a B & W photo that has some area colored.
You can do this by...
• taking a color image
• adding a hue saturation adjustment layer
• turn the saturation all the way down
• then color on the adjustment layer mask with black to reveal the color, and white to hide the color.
• You need to do three different selective color images.

Converting to Black & White
This tutorial can be found either online in the Photoshop links list, or you can use the printed out version found in the three ring binder by the computers.
Once you are done you should have three final black & white photos. Place all three of them and the original color image on one 8 x 10 sheet of paper. Make sure that all of the images are properly labeled and spelled correctly, your name is on it, and print them to the color laser.

Monday-Return Tests, Finish Damaged Photo
Pass back tests and go over.
To be completely done with your damaged photo, you must do the following items.
• Cut off the existing border if your photo has one.
• Replace it with a new border, even if your old one didn't have one.
• If you pic is B & W, desaturate it.
• If it is supposed to be sepia toned, then redo that.
• Put the before and after on one sheet labeled, then print to the color laser & turn in.
• Scrapbook one page with the before and after on it.

Printing your collage





Anytime you print from Adobe Photoshop you need to choose "Print with preview" from the file menu, or option+apple+p.
Here you need to make sure that your collage is printing in the right orientation, portrait or landscape.
If it is not, you'll need to click on page setup and choose the proper orientation.
Press print.
In this window, you need to make sure that you choose the i950 printer, you'll need to make sure that you are selected on the correct number(1-4) for the printer just like scanning.
After choosing the i950, choose copies and pages, then quality and media.
Now click on plain paper and go to glossy photo paper.
Now select Printing a top quality photo.
Press print, FINALLY!!!

Monday-Negative Scan & Collage
I will show you how to do the negative scan today.
Things to remember...
• Change the type of document to film.
• Make sure that you remove the white background in the cover of the scanner.
• Place the negative tray so the white triangle is in the back right side of the scanner.
• Preview the negatives, check only the one you wish to scan.
• Click on the thumbnail so it highlights blue.
• Change the target size from original to 4x6.
I will then demo the collage today.

Drag and drop all images from your saved scans to your new document.
